The walls come caving in,
The waves come crashing on end.
A painful start,
Leads to another broken heart.
My veins are pulsating,
My heart is racing.
A bump in the road,
My blood runs cold.
White walls surround me,
Stifling my sanity.
I'm in a prison,
Placed into submission.
Facing another barrier,
Trying to crack through the exterior.
I fall through the sky,
As the world rushes by.
I crash through the other side,
A window casting a shaft of light.
A pain shoots through my soul,
I'm losing all sense of control.
An emptiness deep inside,
The last shreds of pride.
A vast expanse of ineptitude,
A lack of fortitude.

Trials and Tribulations
He fills the chalice with poison,
The prince was called to accept the crown;
The kings men gathered around.
Adorned with purple robes of royalty
The prince smiles familiarly;
The guards watch with loyalty.
He approached with trepidations,
A concerned look appeared on his pale face;
His father warned of bad temptations.
The squandered youth,
Another moment of adversity;
The old forgotten truths.
He throws the crown in callousness,
The king does not hide his disdain;
The prince just as blasphemous.
The king sits down on his velvet throne,
His cloak hanging loosely on his shoulders;
Looking weary and worn.
He takes a sip from his glass,
The poison taking over his veins;
A prophecy of his death from ages past.
The prince was called to accept the crown;
The kings men gathered around.
Adorned with purple robes of royalty
The prince smiles familiarly;

Broken Images
Broken bruised and battered,
The reality shatters.
Another open wound,
Let my thoughts consume.
Staring at the stranger in the mirror,
The face isn't getting any clearer.
A pained look in the eyes,
Everything is built on lies.
A hollow impression,
A somber expression.
The world has obliterated,
Our souls are liberated.
I am shattered beyond repair,
Broken pieces scattered everywhere.
Another failure in everyone's eyes,
A life of deceit and another pack of lies.
Feeling raw, used and abandoned once again,
Being left alone in the end.
Getting ditched at another time,
Feeling out of place and unaligned.
The reality shatters.
Another open wound,
Let my thoughts consume.
Staring at the stranger in the mirror,
The face isn't getting any clearer.
A pained look in the eyes,
Everything is built on lies.
A hollow impression,
A somber expression.

Breakdown of Peace
He feels the soft grainy sand beneath his fingers,
The salty taste of the beach water lingers;
As he dives deeper into the ocean,
Feeling no sense of emotion.
The crystals of time stop,
The sounds of a pistol pops;
Breaking the silence,
Nothing left but violence.
Blood splatters onto the white sand,
He keeps shouting commands;
Everyone stands stock still in fear,
Everything is unclear.
A splash of color,
Waves of light,
Sparks of white,
Left in squalor.
A rush to the head,
The familiar taste of lead;
He collapses,
Falling into another relapse.
The salty taste of the beach water lingers;
As he dives deeper into the ocean,
Feeling no sense of emotion.
The crystals of time stop,
The sounds of a pistol pops;
Breaking the silence,
Nothing left but violence.

Apocalyptic Prophecies
Shadow in the dark,
Force in the night;
Carnal desires,
Secrets transpire.
Houses are ablaze,
Walking in a foggy haze,
As the ashes burn,
And the world fades,
The embers fall like snowflakes.
The distilled distance
A jaded existence;
The ash turns to dust,
Looking back nonplussed.
I burn the bridges to salvation,
Suffering from the incineration;
The prophet arrives,
Proclaiming only the strong survive.
An obligatory response,
A beguiling smile,
A look of nonchalance,
Questioning his presence.
The guilty have been condemned,
The world shall rise again;
The prophet leaves with these last lines,
As I stand waiting for the end of time.
Force in the night;
Carnal desires,
Secrets transpire.
Houses are ablaze,
Walking in a foggy haze,
As the ashes burn,
And the world fades,
The embers fall like snowflakes.
The distilled distance
A jaded existence;

In the Dead of Night
The vast expanse of pure white snow;
As the tears brim and overflow.
The breath comes out in puffs of smoke;
As he takes another toke.
The cool night air envelops me;
It gets harder to see.
A black sky filled with stars;
Trying to figure out who you are.
When you're left with only scars.
I see his dilated pupils,
As he pops more pills.
He takes a shaky breath,
Wishing for death.
He closes his eyes,
Waiting for his demise.
He lays down in the bitter cold,
Frostbite nipping at his toes.
The snow is his blanket,
As well as his bed;
It's his coffin and life,
And now he's dead.
As the tears brim and overflow.
The breath comes out in puffs of smoke;
As he takes another toke.
The cool night air envelops me;
It gets harder to see.
A black sky filled with stars;
Trying to figure out who you are.

Living in the Past
Rockets raging in the blood red sky;
Watching my life pass me by.
Stars fading into the distance;
Wishing myself away from existence.
Looking up at the array of constellations,
Fighting for a semblance of sanity,
Trying to decipher reality,
Waiting for some sort of invitation.
Getting rejected,
Feeling dejected.
Another thought begins to escape,
A smile appears just as fake.
Cutting through the back roads,
Hoping to just let go.
Driving through the barren ground,
Dead grass passes by yellow and brown.
Staring at a faded photograph,
As my memories come rushing back.
Like an old familiar song,
A confirmation of why I don't belong.
Watching my life pass me by.
Stars fading into the distance;
Wishing myself away from existence.
Looking up at the array of constellations,
Fighting for a semblance of sanity,
Trying to decipher reality,
Waiting for some sort of invitation.
Getting rejected,
Feeling dejected.
Another thought begins to escape,
A smile appears just as fake.
Cutting through the back roads,
Hoping to just let go.
